Patrick's Duolingo plan

I am using Duolingo to brush up on my Italian and in fact I plan to extend my capabilities a little! I am not all that interested in the gamification that is heavily built into Duolingo these days but the lessons and stories are pretty good, it uses a variety of Italian speakers and it is easy to learn at the pace I want. So I reset my profile, clearing out all my previous usage and I am starting from scratch. Here is the plan:

✔   January, complete the initial assessment

 ✔   February, all of Checkpoint 1 including all open stories. One day ahead of schedule.

🕑March half of Checkpoint 2

📅April remainder of Checkpoint 2

📅May half of Checkpoint 3

📅June remainder of Checkpoint 3

📅July half of Checkpoint 4

📅August remainder of Checkpoint 4, in other words all finished!

Small optimisations to daily routes

 

 

I have made another pass through the daily routes in RidewithGPS and made very minor tweaks. These mostly involve the POIs rather than the route itself.

These newly updated routes have been exported to Garmin Connect which is the best place to get them from if you have a Garmin GPS. All the POIs are there as course points. Here they are:

These are effectively identical to what is in RidewithGPS although that has required some slight of hand.

Note that in almost every case these routes specifically take you from and to Patrick's accommodation. You may want to produce your own modified copy of a day's route if your accommodation is not in the same street. Otherwise you can abandon the GPS route and switch to your phone for the last kilometer.
